Satisfy victory Wenger
London – Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said he was satisfied even though his team only narrowly won in the headquarters of West Ham United on Sunday (28/12). Wenger assess Arsenal look very convincing.
A visit to Upton Park, the Gunners won 2-1 success despite not dominate the game. Whoscored noted West Ham more dominant with having 57 percent control of the ball by creating a total of 21 trials (7 on target). With 43 percent control of the ball, the Hammers created 14 trials (four on target).
Arsenal were forced to wait up to 40 minutes before it could break the deadlock through Santi Cazorla penalty in the 41st minute. Just three minutes later, Arsenal advantages accrue due to kick Danny Welbeck.
The only goal back West Ham created at the beginning of the second half by Cheikhou Kouyate‘s header to change the position to be 1-2. However, in the rest of the match West Ham was able to create an additional goal.
“We deserved to win,” said Wenger on the club’s official website. “That is a typical game and immediately committed where we need to remain solid in the air, taking chances on the counter-attack.”
“Unfortunately when they attenuate the position 1-2, we had six chances from behind the failed attack exploited. But overall everyone played very well, from the goalkeeper to the front lines,” said he.
