Chelsea Ready to Adapt sake Avoid Recurrence Results Previous seasons
London – Last season Chelsea took home defeat after a visit to the headquarters of Stoke City. Ahead of his visit to the same place, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has also stressed the importance of adapting to the style of Stoke in order to avoid a repeat of last season’s results.
At the Britannia Stadium on December 7, 2013, Chelsea actually took the lead through a quick goal Andre Schuerrle in the 9th minute. However, a few minutes before the break Stoke able to equalize through Peter Crouch.
At the beginning of the second half Stoke even back ahead goal by Stephen Ireland, although Chelsea responded quickly back through goals from Schuerrle.
However, in the end the Blues must be willing to go home empty-handed after goals from Oussama Assaidi in the final minutes to make sure the hosts won 3-2.
In the Premier League weekend party 17 Chelsea will travel to the same place, on Tuesday (12/23/2014) pm dawn. Mourinho knows exactly this would not be an easy game, especially Stoke are also able to win the ballpark before subjecting it to the Arsenal 3-2 at the beginning of the month.
“Sometimes you play well and lose – other times you do not perform well and actually win. Last season we played well in the headquarters of Stoke but made two mistakes that make us lose the game,” said Mourinho in Sports Mole.
“Currently we are currently able to achieve good results, but we still have to get there (Stoke headquarters) and show our own game. We know the quality of them and we have to adapt ourselves.
“If you know will be dealing with Peter Crouch and Stoke defenders, you will be in trouble if it does not adapt. They are a good team and tough,” she says.
